A strong desire to travel

Hey you guys, it's Zarah, I hope your weekend was amazing and that you're prepared for the upcoming week of work, school or whatever it is that you do. You can make it, I promise. Anyways, today was pretty great for me. It was of course very long, but it was good.
Today I went on an adventure with my mom and brother to Washington, which isn't a long drive from Portland, Oregon. We went to an amazing bakery, Larson's Bakery, which is in Vancouver, Washington. I got a creme puff, which was the best I've ever had, my mom got a ham and cheese croissant, then my brother got a cinnamon roll.

Once we made out breakfast stop, we made our way to Beacon Rock, which is near Stevens, Washington. It wasn't till we bought a "discovery" pass and parked that we realized the wind was crazy and that it was going to be a long hike up. We sucked it up, layered up and then made our way to the trail. The trail around the rock was mostly sheltered by trees, so the wind didn't end up hitting us until we got to the top. Through out the hike I took multiple pictures of the view, which you can find below.

Once we got down from the rock, we drove down to the docks. I got this awesome picture in front of what I just hiked and it felt really good to look at it, and like I just did that. Today's hike felt super amazing and I needed it to get away from the crazy drama that I left back in Portland. One tip for hiking, don't ever listen to music, it ruins the whole atmosphere of the trip, just let your mind wander and get lost in thought.
