Fort Stevens State Park
One of my favorite places in Oregon is located on the coast only a few miles a way from Astoria in a little town called Hammond, Oregon, and it's called Fort Stevens State Park. I visited this state park a few years back and finally came back about two weeks ago with my family, and it brought back the feeling of true enchantment. For those who don't really know the history of Fort Stevens or even what it is, Fort Stevens was an american military installation that guarded the mouth of the Colombia river on the Oregon side during the time of world war II attack. Fort Stevens was named in honor Isaac I. Stevens. It was the only US military base that was under attack by the enemy.
Rather than me boring you with all the tiny history details of Fort Stevens, if you want to learn more, there will be a link the bottom of this post for the information.
Fort George Brewery
So we came across this brewery and ended up eating lunch and grabbing a drink. The service was really amazing and everyone seemed happy. There was this really pretty chalk mural there of mushroom picking and it was very modern, it gave off really good vibes and had really amazing food.
