Ocean vs. Girl

Hey guys, I actually ended up going surfing and it was truly amazing, and scary. We left Portland at eight in the morning and go to the surf shop a little after ten. We got our wet suits and boards from the surf shop in Seaside, then drove down to Short Sands, which is a cute little beach about fifteen minutes from seaside. The trail from the parking lot to the beach seemed super long while carrying surf boards, but once we got down there it seemed like a completely different world.

We then headed out into the water, let's just take a moment to acknowledge I never got surf lessons so I was starting brand new. Once I stepped in, cold chills sent through my body, even though I had a wet suit on.
I started off with paddling and then worked on picking out the good waves. I tried catching one, but I turned my board and I got shoved under by the wave. This is when it all started. My day pretty much consisted of getting taken out, swallowing a ton of salt water, and starting over. It was a long day.

More New Things
Atlas Genius

I also tried out a new music artist, Atlas Genius. They are a rock band from South Australia that started off in 2009. Their most played song is called Trojans, you should definitely check them out. They have a lot in common with the bands The Neighbourhood as well as Grouplove and Walk the Moon. If you haven't heard of any of those band's songs, I highly suggest you listen to them, I'll leave the links below to some of my favorites.

Afraid By The Neighbourhood

Shut Up And Dance by Walk The Moon
